Why this role matters

This is an opportunity to build your procurement and commercial career while making a visible impact across a varied operational environment. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers, supporting sourcing activities from market research and tendering through to contract award and supplier performance management.

  • Analyse spend data and market information to identify opportunities and inform recommendations
  • Prepare and issue tender documentation, including requests for proposals and sourcing packs
  • Monitor supplier performance, contract commitments, and renewal requirements
  • Build positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Produce reports and recommendations that support commercial decision-making
What you'll bring

This role would suit someone who enjoys combining commercial thinking with analytical problem solving and wants to develop their procurement expertise in a collaborative environment.

  • Experience supporting sourcing, procurement, or contract management activities
  • Ability to analyse data and turn findings into clear recommendations
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of value-for-money principles
  • Experience working with suppliers, stakeholders, or customers to achieve outcomes
  • Ability to manage multiple activities and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Experience managing tender or quotation processes
  • Knowledge of supplier performance or contract management activities
  • Exposure to utilities, infrastructure, engineering, construction, or regulated industries
  • Understanding of procurement processes and commercial governance
  • Experience using procurement, contract management, or ERP systems
  • Understanding of commercial risk and compliance
