This fixed‑term locum post is for 3 consultants in Medical Oncology with special interests in Breast, Gynaecology, Colorectal, Upper GI & Acute Oncology at South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust. The posts are based at South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust, which has a service level agreement with University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust to facilitate visiting Oncology consultants.

• Provide Breast, Gynaecology, Colorectal, Upper GI and Acute Oncology services totalling 10 PAs.
• Work in site‑specific local MDTs at SWFT and contribute to cancer management, including providing consultant oncologist support to the nurse‑led Acute Oncology service.
• Take ongoing responsibility for patients under care.
• Provide consultation and advisory service to other clinical colleagues across the Trust and primary care.
• Develop close collaborative links with clinicians, develop treatment protocols and guidelines.
• Participate in departmental audit programmes and multidisciplinary audit relating to clinical interests.
• Attend regular clinical meetings and other postgraduate and educational activities.
• Participate in Trust Performance and Annual review scheme and support revalidation requirements of the General Medical Council.

• Engage in clinical governance, risk management and clinical audit, developing and maintaining appropriate systems.
• Provide supervision and mentorship to junior medical workforce.
• Participate in Departmental Error Reviews and support clinical risk management policies and procedures.
• Share responsibility for data protection in the use of computers.
• Comply with all relevant Trust policies and procedures.

• Satisfactory Occupational Health Clearance.
• Clinical experience in Medical Oncology.
• Commitment to Continuing Professional Development.

The post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and requires a Disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) to check for any previous convictions.

Salary is dependent on experience.
