The Role - As Lecturer in Criminology, you will:

Deliver and teach WJEC Level 3 Criminology (and potentially some Sociology content) to further education students.
Plan and prepare engaging lessons, learning materials and assessments appropriate for Level 3 learners.
Monitor and assess student progress, provide feedback, and support students’ academic development.
Conduct tutorials, support students’ personal development, career guidance and further‑education preparation.
Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and continuous improvement of teaching provision.
Who We Are Looking For Essential:

Minimum Level 4 qualification (e.g. degree) in Criminology, Sociology or a closely related discipline.
Teaching qualification, or willingness to obtain one.
Strong subject knowledge in criminology, with the ability to make the subject accessible and engaging to Level 3 students.
Clear communication skills, commitment to student success, and ability to support adult and further education learners.
Desirable (but not essential):

Prior experience teaching in Further Education and working with learners aged 16+.
Experience teaching WJEC Level 3 Criminology.
We welcome applications from candidates with a degree in Criminology/Sociology and some teaching experience, even if not yet teacher qualified, as we encourage professional development and growth.
