The Early Years Quality Standards and Safeguarding Team (EYQSS) works across early year’s providers to ensure high quality early education and care. We collaborate with partners such as Time to Talk and provide targeted support at school or setting level.

We are looking for an experienced reception teacher to join our busy team. The position is a 0.4 role and will be a fixed‑term post until 31 August 2027, full‑time year‑round. It could also suit a secondment with employer consent.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the Local Authority meets statutory responsibilities related to safeguarding and quality improvement across early years and childcare provision.
• Implementing strategies to improve the quality of early education and childcare.

• Qualified Teacher status.
• Minimum of 5 years EYFS teaching experience, including teaching in reception.
• At least 3 years in an EYFS lead role.
