Teaching Assistant Level 2

Teaching Assistant Level 2 – 30 hours per week, term time only

St Lawrence CofE (VA) Primary School is seeking a qualified, experienced TA2 with SEND experience to work as part of a team.

• Support learning as a Teaching Assistant with named individuals and small groups.
• Work on targets stated on the EHCP.
• Provide support during sessions to enable children to access their learning while monitoring progress and addressing challenges.
• Contribute to the implementation of effective personal, social and behavioural skill development within clear boundaries.
• Develop positive relationships with parents, carers and families, maintaining and sharing accurate information where appropriate.

• Teaching Assistant Level 2 or a comparable qualification.
• GCSE C/4 or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English.

• Reliability and commitment.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team, under direct supervision and independently.
• Experience working with children with additional needs (advantage).

Post commences as soon as possible for two terms until 31 August 2026, with a possibility for an additional fixed term until 31 August 2027. 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only (39 weeks). Salary – NJC F7‑10 hourly rate of £13.26–£14.13.
