St Nicholas C of E Primary School, Kenilworth is seeking to appoint two skilled and caring Teaching Assistants who will bring our vision—Aim high, be courageous, show love and kindness—to life every day. Both roles are fixed term until July 2026, working 30 hours 50 minutes per week, Monday to Friday. Salary Scale: TA2 Band F (7–11) – Pro‑rata.

Role 1:
Early Years Teaching Assistant (Full Time)

This role sits at the heart of our Reception provision, where foundations for learning are built through strong relationships, play and early language. We are looking for someone who is nurturing, enthusiastic and able to create an environment in which our youngest children feel safe to take risks, try new things and aim high from their very first days in school.

Experience of EYFS practice, speech and language support and high‑quality interaction would be advantageous.

Role 2:
Key Stage 1 / Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant

Each morning you will support teaching and learning in a Key Stage 1 classroom, helping children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning. In the afternoons you will lead small‑group KS2 writing interventions, enabling pupils to grow as writers and learn with courage and resilience. This role requires flexibility, initiative and the ability to build trusting, respectful relationships—reflecting our commitment to show love and kindness in all we do.

• Hold a recognised and relevant NVQ Level 2 qualification (NVQ Level 3 desirable)
• Have GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths at grades A–C
• Have experience of TA work and strong communication and listening skills
• Understand SEND and have worked with children with additional needs
• Bring secure knowledge of at least one core subject
• Understand safeguarding and school policies
• Use ICT effectively to support learning
• Are proactive, reflective and able to use initiative
• Are committed to our vision and to helping children thrive
