Teaching Assistant

Role Overview

Teaching Assistants Level 2 – 35 hours per week, permanent, term time only. Start September 2026 or earlier if possible. This role supports teaching and learning in a single form entry primary school in the heart of Warwick.

The successful candidate will support classroom teaching, build relationships with pupils, and deliver targeted intervention work with small groups. They will help promote inclusive education for our most vulnerable children and contribute to the school’s nurturing ethos.

• Good understanding of how children learn and develop
• Experience of working in a primary school
• Passion for working with children from a diverse background, including SEN, Pupil Premium and English as an Additional Language
• Experience of working with children with complex special needs
• Ability to support teaching and learning in class and delivery of targeted intervention work with small groups
• Calm, patient and passionate about inclusive education
• Motivated, enthusiastic and adaptable
• Initiative and team player
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Excellent understanding of child protection and commitment to ensuring wellbeing of children in care
