Salary: £89 – £105 per day
The Role- Support individual pupils and small groups with special educational needs across both KS1 and KS2.
- Use tools such as visual timetables, Makaton, and PECS to aid communication and learning.
- Help pupils manage routines, transitions, and emotional regulation.
- Assist the class teacher and SENCO in delivering adapted and differentiated learning activities.
- Promote positive behaviour, engagement and confidence in the classroom.
- Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly autism, learning difficulties, or SLCN.
- Understanding of child development, particularly within a primary education setting.
- Patient, nurturing, and resilient with a positive attitude.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with EHCPs, structured interventions, or communication strategies is desirable.
- A relevant qualification (e.g., TA Level 2/3, childcare, psychology) is beneficial but not essential.
- Long‑term role in one dedicated school – no daily supply.
- Competitive daily rates, paid weekly.
- Access to SEND‑specific CPD including autism awareness, Team Teach, and Makaton training.
- Ongoing support from a specialist consultant who understands SEND placements.
