A welcoming and inclusive Special Needs School in Warwick is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their team on a full-time, long-term ongoing basis from September.

The School prides itself on creating a nurturing, supportive environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential. Staff work collaboratively to deliver a broad and engaging curriculum that promotes academic achievement alongside the development of social, emotional and personal skills.

The School caters for pupils aged 4–11 years with additional needs such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).

Key Responsibilities:

* Follow statutory safeguarding guidance in line with KCSIE

* Promote a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment

* Provide 1:1 and small group behavioural support

* Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils

* Support pupils in managing their emotions and behaviour using consistent strategies

* Work closely with Teachers, SEN staff and external professionals

* Encourage positive engagement in lessons and wider school life

* Record and monitor pupil progress and behaviour

* Completing administrative tasks as required

The Ideal Candidate :

* Holds a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or above

* Has a minimum of 3 months’ experience working with children in an educational setting

* Has experience supporting children with SEND and challenging behaviour

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning
