This is an exciting opportunity for a talented teacher who enjoys working across different year groups and can quickly establish positive relationships with pupils. As a General Cover Teacher, you will deliver high-quality learning across the primary age range, ensuring continuity of education while class teachers are absent or undertaking leadership, planning, and professional development responsibilities.
Whether covering a single day or a longer period, you will play an important role in maintaining a calm, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their best.
About the Role- Teach planned lessons across the primary curriculum from Reception to Year 6.
- Foster a positive classroom culture built on high expectations and mutual respect.
- Inspire pupils through engaging and well-paced teaching.
- Respond effectively to the varying needs of learners, ensuring all children are supported and challenged.
- Assess learning during lessons and provide clear feedback to class teachers.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote the school's values and high standards.
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Is an excellent classroom practitioner with strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
- Can confidently teach across a range of year groups.
- Has excellent behaviour management skills and builds positive relationships with pupils.
- Is organised, flexible, and able to adapt quickly to different classroom environments.
- Is committed to providing an inclusive education where every child can flourish.
