Position: Elective Home Education (EHE) Caseworker

Warwickshire County Council seeks an adaptable and self‑motivated individual to join the Children Missing Education and Elective Home Education Team as an Elective Home Education Case Worker.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of families who have chosen home education for their child or children.
  • Work within local authority processes around home education, interfacing with schools and internal and external agencies to ensure the best educational outcome for each child.
  • Communicate effectively and clearly to a range of people, maintaining good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Provide advice and support while working solution‑focused and self‑motivated, with the support of a team.
Key Qualifications and Attributes
  • Experience in an educational setting and/or social care would be advantageous, but is not essential.
  • Friendly and understanding approach with an open mind to what home education can look like for a child.
  • Self‑motivated, solution‑focused, flexible and able to handle high volumes of varied activities without being deterred.
Work Pattern

This is a permanent post for 2 days per week. Preference is given to this basis, but flexible working arrangements, including a potential job‑share, may be considered.

Additional Information
