Elective Home Education (EHE) Caseworker (part-time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an adaptable and self-motivated person to join the Children Missing Education and Elective Home Education Team as an Elective Home Education Case Worker at Warwickshire County Council.

You will be responsible for a caseload of families that have chosen home education for their child/children. You will need to have a friendly and understanding approach as well as an open mind to what home education can look like for a child. You will be expected to work within the local authority’s processes around home education as well as interfacing with schools and internal/external agencies to ensure the best educational outcome for each child.

Experience of working in an educational setting and/or social care would be advantageous but not essential.

You will need to be self-motivated and solution focused although there is a good team to offer advice and support where needed. Good written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively and clearly to a range of people is essential.

We are looking for someone with a flexible, can do attitude and with the ability to deal with high volumes of varied activities without being deterred.

This is a permanent post for 2 days per week. Our preference is to appoint to the role on this basis, however, we welcome discussions about flexible working, including a potential job-share arrangement.
