About The Role
The Field Engineer Planner will be responsible for maximising the utilisation of the Baxi Customer Support Field Engineer Workforce daily. The focus of the role is to ensure that we attend to our customers requirements in accordance with relevant SLAs and adhere to commitments that are made.
Daily Responsibilities- Be proactive in same‑day planning to maximise Engineer shifts and support Baxi service levels for VIP customers.
- Export Engineer workloads to ensure high utilisation and minimal travel where possible.
- Create further visits, ordering parts from internal and external warehouses, and keep the customer updated.
- Work with Field Team Managers to ensure engineers workload is efficient and accurate to support first time fix.
- Order parts to ensure engineers have what is required to resolve product failure on the scheduled visit.
- Strive to support the business with minimum broken promises and an improved response time on visits.
- Handle all types of communication in a timely manner, and communicate with customers quickly when commitments cannot be met.
- Adapt to in‑day challenges and optimise utilisation of resources during high and low demand periods.
- Manage jeopardy by monitoring jobs that are falling into jeopardy of being completed and prioritising work across the area.
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience of scheduling and planning applications/systems.
- Be solution‑focused and possess a can‑do attitude, supporting any task or person in need.
- Be a complete finisher, staying focused on the end goal and company strategy.
- Be a confident, forward‑thinking resource planner with the ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Recommend improvements and find new ways of working within the team.
- Have excellent PC skills, with proficiency in, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Basic salary plus a variable incentive.
