National Energy System Operator (NESO) are looking for a Senior Improvement Lead to join the Connections Reform Hub team, providing the interface between NESO and network operators as part of implementation of Connections Reform.

Working with Transmission Owners (TOs), Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and NESO subject matter experts, the role will promote and foster a collaborative way of working, identifying blockers, risks and opportunities to inter-network processes. As the Senior Improvement Lead, you will chair and facilitate workshops/meetings under the Joint Industry Governance structure, supporting delivery of Connections Reform for our collective customers. The role will work across all areas of Connections Reform, developing oversight on plans and processes, and supporting solution development for complex problems.

This role is a 12 month FTC and can be based from Wokingham, Warwick or Glasgow, and we continue to offer hybrid working from office and home. We are open to full time and part time applicants, as well as flexible working arrangements.

Key Accountabilities
  • Working in and leading virtual teams to develop processes
  • Collaborating with our network partners
  • Driving coordination of parties to integrate ways of working and focus on implementing tangible improvements to the Connections process
  • Establishing and building relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Representing the Hub team within internal and external governance models, championing inter-network ways of working
  • Producing high quality, accurate outputs on complex subject matter in short timescales
  • Ensuring clarity and engagement is maintained across both internal and external stakeholders

A competitive salary between £61,000 – 72,500 – dependent on experience and capability.
