We're looking for a highly skilled Regulatory Requirements Engineer to join a leading Automotive Technical Product Development team. This is a key role responsible for interpreting global regulations and translating them into clear, actionable engineering requirements that directly shape future vehicle programmes. You'll work across multiple engineering functions, ensuring that vehicle features and systems are fully compliant with global standards while supporting the broader systems engineering and homologation process.

- Regulation Management & Interpretation
- Monitor, interpret, and assess the impact of global automotive regulations (UNECE, FMVSS, GSR, ISO, etc.).
- Provide expert guidance on how regulatory changes affect vehicle systems and features.
- Requirements Authoring & Ownership
- Translate regulatory text into clear, traceable engineering requirements.
- Maintain ownership of requirements throughout the full product lifecycle.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the primary interface between engineering teams, legal, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure consistent interpretation and communication of regulatory requirements.
- Compliance Planning
- Support programme teams with compliance planning, delivery timing, validation strategies, and documentation.
- Regulatory Change Management
- Track new and emerging regulations, assessing impact on current and future vehicle programmes.
- Lead requirement updates and communicate changes to stakeholders.
- Systems Engineering Integration
- Work closely with systems engineers to ensure regulatory requirements are embedded into system architectures and validation plans.
- Homologation Support
- Prepare and maintain documentation required for certification and homologation activities.
- Strong experience interpreting and applying automotive regulations.
- Proven background in authoring and managing technical engineering requirements.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as EU, UNECE, FMVSS and relevant ISO standards.
- Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., Dassault TRM, IBM DOORS).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering and V‑model development.
- Experience in homologation or certification activities.
- Knowledge of feature development and system integration.
- Understanding of safety-related regulatory requirements.
- Work on future global automotive programmes.
- Influence vehicle engineering at early concept stages.
- Collaborate with cross-functional experts across regulations, systems, safety, and product development.
