Repair Engineer – Global Repair Network Team

Role Overview

The Repair Engineer works closely with the external network of Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul Centres (MROCs) and authorized repair vendors. The role supports the existing global capability of the Repair Network Team and contributes to future capability developments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support component repair development activities.
  • Assess, investigate and report on non‑conforming components.
  • Support repair scheme amendment, writing and technical variances.
  • Support implementation of improvements and technical solutions, both internally and externally.
  • Represent engineering in the wider community during reviews and discussions.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance per company, national and international standards.
  • Provide technical support outside normal working hours as required (flexibility).
  • Travel to MROCs and repair vendors as needed to support engineering activities.
Role Requirements (Repair Engineer)
  • Engineering degree in a Mechanical, Materials or Manufacturing discipline or an acceptable equivalent academic and practical experience.
  • Preferably have some knowledge of gas turbines and/or industrial equipment, alongside repair/manufacturing techniques.
  • Ability to understand component definition drawings and relate them to design intent in engine assemblies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Self‑starter who can interact at different levels and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Team player capable of working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to self‑manage priorities to achieve team objectives and expectations.
  • Experience in a customer‑facing environment with a record of delivering technical solutions and improvements is advantageous.
Project Leader – Repair Network Team (Supplementary Role)

Based in Warwick, the Project Leader will support both short‑term tactical capability programmes and long‑term strategic work streams, ensuring the repair network maintains or expands the required levels of capability and capacity.

Key Responsibilities (Project Leader)
  • Assess, investigate, and devise project‑based technical support to advance key Power Turbine and Gas Generator capability programmes.
  • Provide project support for MRO capability development, including on‑site work with customers and vendors.
  • Lead fast‑passed issue resolution projects that are dynamic in nature.
  • Manage all aspects of project management, including risk registers, communication plans and escalation processes.
  • Ensure appropriate project KPIs are in place, monitored and communicated to the larger team.
  • Support MROCs and Regional Service Centres with hands‑on approaches for new-to-site capability.
  • Collaborate with the extended MROC, Service Centres and Repair Vendor network, analysing technical data to identify, develop and apply optimum capability solutions.
  • Continuously identify and implement improvements in the work environment and in technical solutions delivered to the customer.
  • Provide technical support outside normal working hours and travel to overhaul bases and service centres on short notice.
Required Skill Set and Experience (Project Leader)
  • Engineering degree, MSc, or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands‑on mechanical or technical experience.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in leading programmes and projects, ideally with a formal project management qualification.
  • Ideally, working knowledge of gas turbines, power turbines and/or aero‑derivative industrial equipment.
  • Experience operating in an MRO/field service or repair environment is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrated initiative, flexibility and ability to self‑manage priorities within team objectives.
  • Project management experience in repair and overhaul, aero‑gas and turbine contexts.
  • Repair Engineer experience.
