Responsibilities
3D CAD Modelling — Create and maintain robust 3D models and assemblies for vehicle systems.
Vehicle Architecture Development — Define spatial layouts for powertrain, chassis, interior, electrical, and thermal systems.
Hardpoint Definition — Establish and manage the master hardpoint database for the vehicle.
Occupant Packaging — Ensure ergonomic comfort, visibility, ingress/egress, and compliance with human ‑ factors requirements.
Regulatory Compliance — Apply global standards (FMVSS, ECE, GTR) to packaging and design decisions.
DMU & Virtual Builds — Lead digital mock ‑ up reviews to validate clearances, interfaces, and serviceability.
Cross ‑ Functional Integration — Resolve packaging conflicts across body, chassis, powertrain, interior, and electrical teams.
Benchmarking — Analyse competitor vehicles to inform architecture and design decisions.
Change Management — Manage CAD updates, version control, and release workflows in PLM systems.
Proficiency in CATIA V5/V6
Experience with vehicle packaging, ergonomics, and system integration
Strong understanding of GD&T, engineering standards, and manufacturing processes
Familiarity with PLM systems (Teamcenter, 3DX)
Ability to translate engineering requirements into robust CAD and packaging solutions
Strong communication and cross ‑ functional collaboration skills
Experience in EV packaging (battery, e ‑ drive, HV systems, thermal management)
Background in body engineering and integration
Experience with CAE collaboration, DFMEA, or tolerance analysis
Exposure to design automation or parametric modelling
