Lead Engineer – Chassis Launch (Suspension

The Lead Engineer – Chassis Launch (Suspension) is responsible for complete engineering ownership ofallocatedchassis components during vehicle launch and industrialisation, ensuring successful delivery into production.

• Engineering ownership ofallocatedbrakescommodities and associated bracketsfrom the following group:
  
  Brake pipes, brake hoses, brake pedal, accelerator pedal.
• Drive all engineering,quality and manufacturing issues to resolution
• Ensure DV, PV, sign-off activities and engineering releases are completed
• Support, pilot, pre-production and production builds
• Deliver components on time,costand specification
• Manage engineering changes and programme risks
• Coordinate suppliers and cross-functional teams
• Ensure vehicle builds are supported with correct parts and engineering status
• Escalate issues where required
• Support launch activities at Solihull manufacturing facility
• Ensure maturation of components in line with programme plans
• Communicate engineering status to Chassis Launch leader

• Degree in relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
• Experience deliveringbrakes or other chassiscomponents within automotive programmes
• Proven project management and issue resolution capability
• Knowledge of product development, validation and launch processes
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA and structured problem solving
• PC literacy:
  Microsoft Project, PowerPoint,Exceland Word

• Understanding of client release and change management systems
• CAD literacy and ability to interrogate CAD models
• Experience supporting BEV vehicle launches
