A Snapshot of Your Day

Join our dynamic Blades & Vanes Supplier Quality team as a Lead Supplier Quality Engineer, where your expertise will play a pivotal role in ensuring our suppliers meet the high standards required by the Gas Services division. You will engage with suppliers specializing in advanced coating processes, such as thermal barrier coatings (TBCs), to ensure their components are of the utmost quality.

Imagine leading supplier performance reviews, conducting rigorous audits, and resolving complex quality issues, all while driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your contributions will not only enhance supplier capabilities but also support our mission of delivering high-performance turbine components.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • You will manage a portfolio of suppliers for blades and vanes, leading performance reviews and driving improvement plans based on quality metrics and SLAs.
  • Lead supplier development programs to enhance their quality systems and manufacturing capabilities, focusing on advanced coating processes.
  • Act as the primary quality interface for key suppliers, negotiating quality requirements for critical components and ensuring contractual obligations are met.
  • Plan and lead complex supplier audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, with special attention to coating and surface treatment processes.
  • You will lead complex root cause analysis investigations for significant supplier-related quality issues, particularly those involving coating defects and manufacturing anomalies.
What You Bring
  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials Science, or a related technical engineering field.
  • You are a recognized subject matter expert with extensive experience in a supplier quality engineering role, particularly in precision components and special processes.
  • Possess certifications such as Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the energy, aerospace, or automotive sectors.
  • Strong technical and analytical abilities, including knowledge of advanced coating processes and risk analysis skills.
