Financial Accountant

We’re working with a large, well-established organisation looking to appoint a Financial Accountant on a fixed-term basis to support their Financial Control & Accounting function.

This role sits within a high-performing finance team and will focus on ensuring accurate period-end reporting
, balance sheet integrity
, and maintaining a strong financial control environment
.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver accurate and timely period-end accounting
• Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Produce variance analysis vs budget/forecast
• Support continuous improvement across reporting and controls
• Partner with wider finance and operational teams

What we’re looking for:

• Part-qualified or newly qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
• Strong experience in financial reporting and reconciliations
• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
• Good understanding of VAT / corporate tax
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving ability
