About The Team

Warwickshire Road Safety Partnership brings together key partners, including Warwickshire Police, Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service, and Warwickshire County Council. The partnership is full of passionate, driven people who genuinely want to make a difference. Our unique position as a growing team allows us to engage, influence and collaborate across agencies to deliver meaningful road safety activity across the county.

About

The Role

This is a brand-new role and an opportunity to help shape Warwickshire’s future approach to learning from fatal road collisions. As the Safe System Fatal Review Coordinator, you’ll play a central role in managing and developing the recently formed Fatal Collision Review Board process. Working closely with a wide range of partners, you’ll support the Board to identify learning that can drive real, system-wide change.

This is meaningful, visible work. Your coordination and insight will help ensure that lessons are not only identified but acted upon, influencing future interventions and contributing directly to the reduction of deaths and serious injuries on Warwickshire’s roads. You’ll have the chance to influence and help shape how the approach and processes evolve. You will have the opportunity to learn from other local road safety partnerships, share best practices, and help shape a consistent review process.

The role also strongly aligns with the national road safety strategy and the government’s commitment to a future Road Safety Investigation Branch. The learning and recommendations generated through Warwickshire’s Fatal Review Board could help inform national thinking and contribute to wider improvements in how fatal collisions are reviewed and prevented across the country. If you’re confident communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, highly organised, able to manage sensitive information, and bring empathy and professionalism to challenging situations, this could be the role for you.

Key

Requirements
  • A relevant degree qualification or equivalent professional experience (typically 2–3 years) in areas such as data analysis, statistics, research, policy, or project management.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather, interpret and draw meaningful insight from a range of data and information sources to support learning and recommendations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work sensitively and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders, and to approach challenging or emotive situations with empathy and discretion.
