Procurement Officer

Location: Warwickshire

Hays are delighted to partner with a local public sector organisation. Procurement Officer for an initial 6‑month assignment with strong temp‑to‑perm potential. The role involves leading complex tenders, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with UK procurement legislation.
Key duties include:

Delivering a varied procurement pipeline and tender exercises
Developing procurement strategy, policies and processes
Driving governance, compliance, value for money and innovation
Providing advice on contract management (Intend)
Maintaining the Contract Register and e‑tendering systems
Supporting spend analysis, training, FOIs and procurement content

Requirements:

Public sector procurement experience is required.
PA23 training preferred
CIPS qualified / studying towards / willing to study

Hours:

Full-time (37 hours)

Location:

Warwick, 1-2 days per week on-site
