We are looking for an accomplished senior leader to become the next Chief Executive and Monitoring Officer to the Police and Crime Commissioner for Warwickshire.
This is an influential public service leadership role at an important time of change. You will lead the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC), act as the Commissioner’s principal adviser and serve as Head of Paid Service and Monitoring Officer.
You will bring the judgement, credibility and confidence to make an impact from the outset. We need someone who can provide clear, impartial advice, lead and develop a professional team and build trusted relationships with senior partners across policing, local government, criminal justice and wider public services.
The successful candidate will join an established organisation with a broad remit, spanning scrutiny and governance, policy and partnerships, commissioning, finance, estates, communications and engagement. You will help ensure the Commissioner’s Police and Crime Plan continues to be delivered effectively while preparing the organisation for changes ahead.
We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate substantial senior leadership experience in a public-facing organisation, alongside a strong understanding of governance, public accountability and working in a politically sensitive environment.
Why work for us?At the OPCC, you will lead a small, professional team working at the heart of policing governance and community safety in Warwickshire. It is an opportunity to influence important public services, work closely with senior partners and make a tangible contribution to the communities we serve.
We want the OPCC to be a supportive and inclusive place to work, where people are trusted to use their professional expertise and encouraged to develop. In return for your contribution, we offer a strong employee benefits package, including:
- flexible working
- hybrid working arrangements
- generous annual leave
- learning and development opportunities
- access to the Local Government Pension Scheme
- a supportive and inclusive working environment
