An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Ultrasound team at South Warwickshire NHS Foundation trust, serving the populations of Warwick, Leamington Spa, Stratford upon Avon and the surrounding area. The main hospital site is based in Warwick, but there are smaller community hospitals in Stratford upon Avon and Leamington Spa.
Position OverviewDevelopment of the Ultrasound department means that we are looking for Advanced practitioners in Ultrasound to join our team. The successful candidate should hold a Post Graduate Certificate or Diploma in Medical Ultrasound from a CASE accredited institution and is expected to be HCPC / NMC registered or on the voluntary register of sonographers held by the Register of Clinical Technologists.
Responsibilities- Rotate through all clinical areas and sites across the trust, working flexibly across three sites.
- Carry out and independently report on Ultrasound examinations to a high standard and in a professional manner.
- Work within modalities including MSK, Gynae, General medical, Vascular and Paediatric scans.
- Take part in the practical and clinical teaching of student sonographers.
- Support service improvement through extended day and weekend sessions to improve patient flow.
- Post Graduate Certificate or Diploma in Medical Ultrasound from a CASE accredited institution.
- HCPC / NMC registration or voluntary register of sonographers.
- Experience in modalities such as MSK, Gynae, General medical, Vascular and Paediatric scans (advantageous but training will be supported).
