We are delighted to open applications for a Multidisciplinary Nurse to join our exceptional team at Blaise Veterinary Referrals on a fixed term contract basis.
Located in Longbridge, Birmingham, our veterinary hospital is one of the largest multidisciplinary referral hospitals in the UK. With state of the art equipment to treat up to 10,000 pets a year, our brilliant team provide the very best veterinary care and support to clients, pets and referring vets. Our veterinary referral services include Anaesthesia & Analgesia, Cardiology, Diagnostic Imaging, ECC, Internal Medicine, Interventional Radiology, Neurology, Oncology, Orthopaedics & Soft Tissue Surgery.
At Blaise, we have a specialist-led 24-hour emergency and critical care service in partnership with Vets Now, providing out of hours and emergency pet care for Birmingham and surrounding areas.
How You’ll Make a DifferenceAs a Multidisciplinary Nurse, you will deliver advanced nursing care to complex cases within a referral hospital environment, supporting patients, clients, and clinical teams across a range of disciplines.
You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to high standards of nursing care, supporting clinical decision-making, and sharing your experience and knowledge with colleagues to continually improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
Working Pattern- 40hrs/week
- 4 day working week with a variable day off and 1:6 weekend rota
- Fixed term contract position until June 2027

- Emergency (our on-site Vets Now service)
You are an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse with strong clinical capability and a passion for referral-level nursing. You’ll bring:
- Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
- Significant experience in clinical practice with strong medical and surgical nursing skills
- Experience working with complex cases in a referral or advanced-care environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- A commitment to evidence-based practice, clinical governance, and continuous improvement
- A referral nursing role delivering complex and rewarding caseloads across multiple disciplines
- Clear career pathways with progression opportunities into specialist referral nursing or leadership roles
