Senior Support Worker - Learning DisabilitiesLocation:

Join Heart of England Mencap and help people with learning disabilities live fulfilling, independent lives. We're looking for an experienced, compassionate and resilient Senior Support Worker to support the day-to-day running of our supported living service. About the Role Reporting to the Service Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality, person-centred support while leading and supporting the staff team to ensure the service runs safely and effectively.Key

responsibilities:
  • Support the day-to-day operation of the service and deputise for the Service Manager when required.
  • Lead by example and support colleagues on shift.
  • Empower customers to achieve their goals, build independence and participate in community activities.
  • Build positive relationships with customers, families and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with health and social care regulations, policies, audits and record keeping.
  • Support staff training, supervision and quality assurance processes.
This role requires flexibility to work a range of shifts. A full UK driving licence is essential.About You You'll ideally have:
  • At least two years' experience in the care sector.
  • Experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
  • Previous experience in a Senior Support Worker, Team Leader, Deputy or supervisory role (desirable).
  • Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
  • A caring, resilient and adaptable approach, with a commitment to delivering outstanding person-centred support.
This role requires flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends.What We Offer
