We are seeking an enthusiastic and flexible Band 6 Rotational Clinical Pharmacist to join us on a 12-month fixed‑term Winter pressure.
AboutThe Role
As a key member of our clinical pharmacy service, you’ll help patients get the most from their medicines, provide expert advice to medical and nursing colleagues, and support safe, effective prescribing across a range of clinical areas. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your clinical, leadership and service‑improvement skills within a supportive rotational structure.
What We’re Looking For- Hospital pharmacy experience - or due to qualify as a pharmacist in August 2026
- Community pharmacists are welcome to apply
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy clinical environment
- A proactive approach to professional development
You must be registered with the GPhC as a Pharmacist and have some hospital pharmacy experience. Full training and support will be provided.
To deliver high‑quality clinical pharmacy services across the Trust by providing patient‑centred pharmaceutical care, supporting safe and effective medicines use, and contributing to the development, education, and continuous improvement of pharmacy services. The post holder will rotate through key operational and clinical areas, undertake dispensing and checking duties, provide medicines information and prescribing support, participate in audits and clinical trials work, contribute to training and mentoring, and take part in evening, weekend, bank holiday, and on‑call rotas.
They must maintain GPhC registration and adhere to all Trust and Pharmacy policies while supporting service provision across all Trust sites.
