Recruitment supervisor RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Assist in delivering a professional, solution-focused HR recruitment service to Warwickshire Police to recruit suitably qualified police officers, police staff and Special Constables in accordance with the workforce requirements.

Provide day to day support to the HR Transactional team and direct supervision and management of allocated staff.

Ensure effective scheduling and allocation of transactional activities to the Recruitment team, including the allocation of ad hoc requests.

• Responsible for the daily co-ordination of the HR recruitment service and allocation of work to the team.
• Ensuring that all Recruitment activities received via email, phone, Applicant Tracking System (ATS) etc. are prioritised and deadlines are met in accordance with service provisions.
• Monitoring and supporting administration staff with their work and priorities, ensuring effective team working. Undertake 1:1s highlighting good performance, managing their welfare and development, identifying areas for improvement and training requirements ensuring high levels of engagement.
• To provide advice to managers and staff on the interpretation of Recruitment Policies and Procedures in line with Recruitment activity.
• To respond to initial complaints received, escalating as appropriate to HR Transactional Manager.
• To assist in project work as directed by the HR Transactional Manager.
• To identify and implement service improvements and changes under the guidance of the HR Transactional Manager.
• To collate and provide management information as requested by HR management team.
• To continually improve and promote the use of the intranet site, process maps and Applicant Tracking System.
• To work collaboratively with other HR colleagues and departments to ensure the delivery of an efficient and effective HR service.
• To provide cover for the HR Supervisor when required.
• To undertake other duties commensurate with the nature, level of responsibility and grading of this post, including cover for colleagues, as required.
• All members of the workforce are to comply with all Health and Safety regulations in accordance with the Warwickshire Police Health and Safety Policy.

• Educated to Level 3 standard qualification (A Level, NVQ or equivalent).
• Level 3 CIPD qualification.
• An understanding of basic employment legislation and proven knowledge of the implications of none compliance.

• Significant HR Recruitment experience, including a thorough understanding of complex HR recruitment activities, processes and conditions of employment and Applicant Tracking Systems.
• Experience of supervising team members and monitoring workloads.
• Experience of scheduling, allocation and monitoring of recruitment priorities.
• Proven ability to adhere to stringent deadlines.

• Competent in the use of IT including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook) and HR databases.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to communicate with officers, staff and members of the public.
• Ability to deliver customer service within a team environment.
• Proven ability to manage high process driven workloads in accordance with strict deadlines.
• Proven ability to be able to prioritise with conflicting demands.
• Ability to retrieve statistical information and present clearly and concisely
