Quality Engineering Lead - Oracle HCM testing

Role Quality Eng Lead Technology Oracle HCM Cloud - Test Lead Location Leeds (UK) Business Unit IQE Compensation Competitive (including bonus)

As a Quality Engineering Lead you are an expert at contributing to different phases of the consulting lifecycle. You will be intensely involved in defining the problem, proposing and refining the solution. You will also play an important role in the development, configuration and deployment of the overall solution, guide teams on project processes, deliverables, contribute to proposal development, client training and internal capability‑building, and help detail the project scope.

• Strong functional/technical knowledge and understanding of functional system testing, system integration testing, E2E testing, and UAT.
• Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (Oracle HCM), payroll and integration testing experience is preferred.
• Payroll process knowledge and experience is mandatory.
• Expertise in Core HR, Time and Attendance, Absence Management, Hire to Termination, payroll validations in ERP applications and handling Absence, Accruals, Timekeeping & Payroll modules.
• Hands‑on experience in test planning, test design, test case preparation, test execution, tracking and reporting.
• Strong exposure to SDLC, STLC and Agile methodologies.
• Experience working with multiple IT/Business stakeholders, cross‑functional teams in onshore/offshore delivery model.
• Work location is Leeds (UK).

• Participate during project initiation, understand the requirements, prepare/assist in test estimation, formulate test strategy or test plan.
• Allocate and monitor tasks, coordinate and manage test schedules.
• Coordinate with stakeholders about the test environment, prepare test bed and test data for execution.
• Conduct reviews and inspections of test deliverables and provide feedback to the team.
• Execute tests, track and monitor defects to closure and produce test metrics and test reports (DSR/WSR) to be shared with stakeholders.
• Be responsible for the identification, creation and maintenance of test cases.
• Participate in project meetings to provide feedback and statistics of the project in relation to test quality.
• Proactively identify potential delivery‑related issues and arrive at mitigation plans.
• Provide suggestions/feedback in refining testing practices and methodologies.
• Coordinate with teams involved and support all interfacing applications/systems impacted for the project.
• Ensure constructive working relationships within the team and with other functional groups.
• Understand test management tools, JIRA, ALM and Confluence.
• Have strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation of complex information and data).
• Show a strong commitment to quality and efficiency.
