Junior Web Editor

Junior Web Editor – Warwickshire County Council. We’re looking for a Junior Web Editor to work with ICT colleagues and services across the council to improve online user experiences for Warwickshire residents.

Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver customer‑focussed services via our online platforms.

• Contribute to the support and maintenance of multiple systems, both for internal use as well as external customer facing
• Make improvements to web content to enable accessibility, readability and to bring in line with the digital style guide
• Liaise with stakeholders across business, managing expectations and influencing views and opinions
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement

You should bring the following experience and skills.

• At least one year’s experience of using a CMS to manage web content
• The ability to independently interpret and analyse Web requests logged or situations and to produce solutions
• The ability to organise own workload and decide priorities
• Experience of ensuring the content of the sites is in line with business requirements and to industry best practices
• Experience of contributing to the development of Web policies and procedures
• Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion principles
• The right to work in the UK

• Excellent knowledge of HTML
• Good practicable knowledge of web technologies and industry best practices
• Experience of stakeholder management
• Experience of providing information and advice, including the ability to communicate complicated information regarding Web technologies to varied audiences
• Awareness of, and strong commitment to, customer care
• Confidence to promote good practice and challenge content quality issues

• Work on varied, meaningful projects across council services
• Contribute to digital improvements that directly support residents and staff
• Be part of a collaborative ICT team with opportunities to learn and grow
