Are you a graduate with an interest in data protection, privacy and cyber security? Are you looking for an entry-level role where you can develop your analytical and office-based experience within a specialist legal and compliance environment? We are looking for a Data Protection Assistant to join our Data Protection, Computer Security and Cyber Security team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their career to gain hands-on experience in data protection and develop a strong understanding of how organisations manage personal data and data subject rights.

About the Role Working as part of the Data Subject Rights team, you will provide administrative and analytical support in managing Data Subject Access Requests (SARs) and other data subject rights requests. Your responsibilities will include:
Monitoring and managing the Data Protection mailbox. Allocating incoming requests to the appropriate team members. Liaising with colleagues across the business to obtain information and data required to respond to requests. Compiling information and preparing responses to data subject requests. Completing straightforward Subject Access Requests (SARs), including reviewing call recordings, listening to and transcribing relevant calls, and adding information to the appropriate case file.

Preparing completed SAR files, including organising and sending redacted documentation to the data subject. Ensuring requests are handled accurately, efficiently and in line with relevant data protection requirements. Maintaining accurate records and supporting the wider Data Subject Rights team as required. About You You will ideally have:
Strong analytical and organisational skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Good written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work confidently with confidential and sensitive information. Good IT and Microsoft Office skills. The ability to manage your workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. A methodical approach and the confidence to ask questions and learn new processes. Previous experience in data protection is not essential.

This is an entry-level opportunity, and full training and support will be provided. What matters most is your interest in the subject, attention to detail and willingness to learn. Why Join? This is a fantastic opportunity to build practical experience within a specialist data protection and cyber security environment. You will gain exposure to real-world data subject rights work and develop valuable analytical, administrative and professional skills that can provide a strong foundation for a career in data protection, privacy, legal or compliance roles.

If you are a graduate looking for your first opportunity to put your analytical skills into practice and develop a career in data protection, we would love to hear from you. If you have any queries regarding this role, please contact Khushali at Katie Bard on _4443
