Procurement Specialist

Location:

Warwick

Daily Rate: £(Apply online only) per day DOE

Contract Length: 6 Months

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the organisation's objectives and requirements.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and evaluate their performance.
  • Prepare and issue requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotations (RFQs), and other procurement documents.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best pricing and terms while ensuring compliance with organisational standards.
  • Manage supplier relationships to foster collaboration and drive continuous improvement in service delivery.
  • Monitor and report on procurement activities, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various projects and initiatives, offering procurement expertise as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies in all procurement activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation.
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally within a similar industry.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier negotiation.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools, alongside strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • A relevant degree or professional qualification in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
