Business Manager

Business Manager at Claverdon Primary School is seeking an experienced, organised and proactive School Business Manager to join our leadership team. Reporting to the Headteacher, you will lead and manage the school’s administrative, financial, premises and support services, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations.

The post is advertised for three days per week, with the option to increase hours depending on the structure of the school office and the experience of the successful candidate. These arrangements can be discussed during the interview process.

• Oversee the school’s finance function, working closely with the School Finance Officer to ensure accurate budgeting, reporting and financial compliance.
• Provide clear financial advice to the Headteacher and Governing Body, support strategic financial planning and monitor expenditure.
• Line manage the School Finance Officer and School Administrator, ensuring effective teamwork, high-quality service and smooth office operations.
• Oversee health and safety, premises management and the efficient use of resources; liaise with contractors, oversee maintenance, support site security and manage facilities, data systems, statutory returns and procurement to ensure value for money and compliance.
