About the Team: The Domestic Abuse Team is a skilled, trauma‑informed service dedicated to supporting adults and children impacted by domestic abuse. The team specialises in risk assessment, safety planning and multi‑agency working, and is known for its strong values, collaborative culture and commitment to achieving lasting, positive change.

About the Role:

The role is Team Manager for the Domestic Abuse Team covering Warwickshire, for a 12‑month fixed‑term maternity cover.

Key Points of the Domestic Abuse (DA) Team Manager role
  • Operational leadership – lead and manage the Domestic Abuse Team, ensuring high‑quality, safe and effective services are delivered to children and families affected by domestic abuse.
  • Staff management and development – provide strong supervision, support and performance management, promoting reflective, trauma‑informed and restorative practice across the team.
  • Safeguarding and risk oversight – oversee complex cases, risk management, thresholds and statutory responsibilities, ensuring robust safeguarding and timely decision‑making.
  • Multi‑agency partnership working – build and maintain effective relationships with police, health, education, housing and voluntary sector partners to deliver coordinated responses to domestic abuse.
  • Service development and quality assurance – contribute to strategic development, monitor outcomes and performance, and ensure practice meets legal, policy and commissioning standards.
Key Requirements
  • Travel expectations – regular travel across the county to meet with families, staff, partners and attend multi‑agency meetings, with flexibility to work from community and partner locations.
  • Experience of working within a domestic abuse setting, with a strong understanding of risk assessment, safeguarding, trauma‑informed practice and multi‑agency responses.
