Head of Housing – Warwick / Hybrid (1‑2 days in office).

Contract:

18‑month, £50.00 per hour, LTD.

We are partnering with a forward‑thinking Local Authority to recruit an experienced Head of Housing to provide strategic leadership across a key housing service area. This role will shape housing services, lead high‑performing teams and influence the future direction of the organisation.

• Lead and manage the Housing Service, ensuring high quality, efficient service delivery.
• Develop and implement housing strategies, policies and transformation programmes.
• Provide strategic advice to senior leadership, members and external partners.
• Manage significant budgets and ensure value for money across the service.
• Lead, motivate and develop multidisciplinary teams.
• Build effective partnerships with housing providers, public sector organisations and community stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with housing legislation, regulatory standards and statutory responsibilities.
• Drive continuous improvement and organisational change.

• Significant senior leadership experience within housing in a Local Authority or similar public sector organisation.
• Experience developing housing strategy and delivering large‑scale service improvements.
• Strong knowledge of housing legislation, consumer standards and regulatory requirements.
• Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience managing substantial budgets and delivering value for money.
• CIH membership or equivalent professional qualification is desirable.

Long‑term contract with hybrid working arrangement and highly competitive rate.
