You will be working on large commercial refuse vehicles, carrying out detailed cosmetic repairs and ensuring any imperfections are corrected before sign‑off.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out localised repairs and blend to achieve a consistent finish.
  • Mask areas correctly to protect surrounding components during repair work.
  • Flatting, polishing and preparing surfaces to restore paint quality.
  • Inspect vehicles thoroughly to ensure all snags are corrected before release.
  • Work around fully assembled refuse vehicles, including body panels, chassis areas and hoppers.
  • Ensure all work meets strict quality standards at the final inspection stage.
Qualifications
  • Experience in paint production, de‑snagging or vehicle refinishing.
  • Experience working on commercial vehicles (desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of surface preparation and defect correction.

  • Good understanding of health and safety in a paint environment.
  • High attention to detail and pride in finish quality.
  • Comfortable working in confined or awkward positions around large vehicles.
Benefits

  • Opportunity to develop finishing and repair skills.
  • Overtime available when required.
