Vehicle Pre Delivery Inspector

Warwick Full Time 4-Day Working Week (Monday-Thursday, On-Site)£30,000 - £35,000 No Sponsorship Available

VIQU have partnered with a long-established UK manufacturer renowned for designing and building specialist vehicles that support essential public services. With a strong reputation for quality, innovation and continuous improvement, they are looking for a Pre Delivery Inspector to ensure every vehicle meets the highest standards before reaching customers.

As a Pre Delivery Inspector, you'll play a vital role in the final stages of production, carrying out detailed inspections, quality audits and functional testing to ensure every vehicle is built to specification and ready for delivery. Working closely with Manufacturing and Quality teams, you'll help identify issues, improve build quality and contribute to continuous improvement across the production process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out pre-delivery inspections and functional testing on completed vehicles.
  • Perform in-process quality audits, including torque settings, hydraulic pressures and other critical checks.
  • Ensure vehicles meet customer specifications before being passed to sales.
  • Record faults, discrepancies and quality data to support root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with Manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues and maintain build standards.
  • Contribute to improving inspection procedures and quality processes.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicles (light vehicle or automotive experience essential).
  • Experience inspecting, testing or fault-finding on mechanical equipment or vehicles.
  • Ability to read and follow inspection procedures while working to production deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, quality-focused approach.
  • Team player with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • HGV, hydraulic or specialist vehicle experience is advantageous but not essential.
