Senior Social Worker - Level 4 | Fostering & Kinship Team, Warwickshire County Council Agency Contract | Pay up to £33.30 p/h (Umbrella)
Warwickshire County Council is seeking an experienced and confident Senior Social Worker (Level
4) to join their dynamic Fostering & Kinship Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner with strong assessment, safeguarding, and relationship‑building abilities to support foster carers, kinship carers, and vulnerable children across the county. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a supportive, collaborative environment and is passionate about achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
- Undertake high‑quality assessments of prospective foster carers and kinship carers
- Provide ongoing supervision, support, and guidance to carers
- Contribute to permanence planning and ensure children's needs remain central
- Work closely with multi‑agency partners to ensure safe, stable placements
- Support the delivery of training, development, and reflective practice sessions
- Manage a varied caseload with autonomy while contributing to team development
- Ensure all work aligns with statutory guidance, fostering regulations, and best practice standards
You’ll be joining a committed, well‑structured team where reflective practice, professional development, and manageable caseloads are prioritised.
What We're Looking For- Strong experience within fostering, kinship, or children s social care
- Excellent assessment, analytical, and report‑writing skills
- Confidence in managing complex cases and supporting carers
- A child‑centred, strengths‑based approach to practice
- Ability to work collaboratively with carers, families, and partner agencies
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting positive outcomes
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 3 years' experience as a Social Worker within Children s Services as a Permanent Social Worker within an England Local Authority
- Social Work England Registration
- Driving licence and access to your own vehicle
