Animation Programmer; C++

We're excited to welcome a mid‑level Animation Programmer to our Tech Team to work on our proprietary engine, Asura, delivering high‑quality character animations, gameplay mechanics, and visual performance.

• Develop and implement animation code for our in‑house engine.
• Maintain and develop features within our animation systems, including content creation tools and runtime systems.
• Collaborate with content creators to design and write tools and features that support animation workflows.
• Write and test larger classes and code with complex functionality tailored to project needs.
• Diagnose, debug, and fix complex bugs across familiar and unfamiliar code bases.
• Create, review and update technical documentation and user guides.
• Support other team members or programmers from different disciplines when appropriate.

This role can be based at our Oxford or Warwick studios. We provide a relocation package that includes moving assistance, temporary accommodation, and full support to ensure a smooth transition.

• Strong understanding of real‑time animation systems architecture and internals.
• High proficiency in C++, with experience developing and maintaining complex systems.
• Confidence using IDEs, debugging tools, and profiling techniques to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Experience designing and implementing Finite State Machines and related animation control systems.
• Good working knowledge of 3D mathematics and geometry.
