Train Presentation Operative
We are seeking dedicated and detail‑oriented individuals to join our team as Train Presentation Operatives. In this role you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our trains meet the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and compliance, and exceed passengers' expectations.
What You’ll Do- Internal cleaning tasks according to the cleaning manual, including biohazard removal and adherence to safety protocols.
- Foster a customer‑centric environment by attentively maintaining cleanliness, restocking supplies, and promptly addressing any toilet issues, including CET and tanking.
- Conduct comprehensive external cleaning, which includes graffiti removal.
- Optionally participate in fatality cleaning when required, with the choice to decline in a compassionate and professional manner.
- Prepare trains for seasonal conditions by executing winterisation procedures, sanding for traction, and ensuring optimal fluid levels (screen wash, anti‑ice fluids).
- Assist with depot/sidings winterisation, applying anti‑ice/ de‑icing products to walkways and roadways, conductor rails (under isolation) and snow clearance.
We are looking for hardworking individuals who can pass a PTS medical and a full safety‑critical medical before a formal offer. Candidates should have reliable transport for shift start and end times. The role requires completion of a Personal Track Safety course or a Depot Track Safety course (full training provided).
