Operations Manager Job Purpose The Events Warehouse Manager is responsible for organising the strategic storage, maintenance, and distribution of Peppermint equipment and stock across our 25,000 sq ft facility in Warwickshire. Situated ideally on the M40 corridor, this role ensures that the right products are delivered to the right event location, on time, in excellent condition, and in the most cost-effective manner.

The successful candidate will oversee transport, comprehensive stock control, physical warehousing, and the end-to-end monitoring of goods flow. This role is hands-on with a 75% warehouse and 25% office split. Core Accountabilities Logistics & Event Preparation Plan the day-to-day running of the 25,000 sq ft facility, ensuring tasks and targets are delivered. Oversee the precise picking, packing, and loading of event kit and stock, as well as the processing of returns.

Load vehicles safely and assist the Operations Manager with logistical planning. Arrange warehouse layout and systematically catalogue goods for peak operational efficiency. Coordinate external transport, including heavy hauliers and daily couriers for timely site deliveries. Asset & Stock Management Maintain an accurate inventory to predict potential pinch-points and future kit requirements. Support the Operations Manager and Tech Department with the development of the company Warehouse Management System (WMS) through testing, troubleshooting, implementation, and daily operation.

Track equipment across multiple sites, manage shortfalls, and handle ongoing maintenance. Ensure all equipment testing, preparation, and post-event turnaround objectives are met with excellence, ensuring all assets are in top condition before events. Procurement of additional equipment and operational supplies required for specific events. Use basic DIY skills to troubleshoot and maintain company assets directly on the warehouse floor, including inventory upkeep between events and managing the winter refurbishment programme by assessing equipment to identify works needed.

Team Leadership & Administration Supervise, coach, and train the warehouse workforce, ensuring strict adherence to company policies. Create and implement a long-term training strategy for permanent and casual operational staff. Maintain accurate timesheets for staff and submit hours to payroll in a timely fashion. Meet strict cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets. Maintain department metrics, analyse data to assess performance, and implement continuous improvements.

Health, Safety & Reporting Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety (H&S) laws, regulations, and company safety requirements. Manage the security, maintenance, cleanliness, and visual presentation of the 25,000 sq ft premises, including building access and site integrity. Take direct accountability for fire safety standards, drill coordination, and equipment maintenance. Enforce a strict "clean as you go" standard across the warehouse floor, yard, bar trailers, and storage containers.

Oversee site first aid readiness, equipment stocking, and incident report logs. Enforce strict food safety standards and hygiene regulations for stored food/beverage stock and associated hospitality kit. Oversee yard safety, act as a banksman, and manage vehicle movements to ensure safe reversing and loading operations.
