Base Pay Range

$290.00/hr - $300.00/hr

ExMed, Inc. is actively searching for qualified Psychiatrists for an immediate locum tenens contract position at a state correctional facility in Wasco, CA.

Stockton, CA

Contract Length:
Minimum 6 months with option to extend.

• Conduct face‑to‑face psychiatric evaluations, crisis interventions, and suicide risk assessments with inmate‑patients.
• Provide clinical care in various settings, including cell fronts and multi‑tiered housing units, which may require walking long distances or climbing stairs.
• Develop and document individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive mental health evaluations and available records.
• Prescribe medication per CDCR guidelines and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Participate in Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDTT) meetings and document all patient interactions.
• Ensure adherence to ethical standards, confidentiality mandates, and mandated reporting requirements.
• Maintain safety, security, and compliance with facility protocols, including using personal protective equipment when necessary.
