We’re seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to provide outpatient-style rehabilitation care within a California correctional healthcare setting.
Jobtitle: Physical Therapist 📍Location:
Wasco, CA⏰Schedule:
Wednesday & Thursday only Shift: 7am-5:30pm Duration: 6 months (Renewable) 🤝 Payrate: $75-$78/hr
- Deliver care within scope of licensure and CDCR policy, consistent with evidence-based practices.
- Provide Physical Therapy evaluations and treatment on an as-needed, pre-scheduled basis.
- Treat patients/youth upon physician referral or direct access (with documented diagnosis).
- Conduct initial assessments and develop treatment plans; communicate plans to patients and staff.
- Complete progress notes and evaluations using CDCR-approved documentation.
- Be available for telephone consultations during duty hours.
- Maintain daily charting; delinquent records (over 10 days) may lead to termination.
- Minimum 12 months of relevant experience within the last 3 years.
- Valid California Physical Therapy license (must be current and maintained).
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Must have current BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross with AED).
- Must comply with 8
CCR
5199 respiratory protection standards (N95/PAPR clearance and training).
