Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technician to join our healthcare team. Working directly under the supervision of a surgeon, the Surgical Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring successful surgical procedures by maintaining strict sterile techniques and assisting professional staff in patient care. This position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, a commitment to patient safety, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
The role also includes taking call responsibilities in accordance with department policies.
- Scrub and assist in various surgical procedures in accordance with established aseptic and sterile techniques
- Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and instruments before surgery
- Maintain a sterile environment throughout the surgical process
- Ensure high levels of accuracy and control of surgical instruments and materials
- Handle specimens and surgical tools with care and attention to proper protocols
- Work discreetly with confidential patient, family, staff, and financial information
- Collaborate effectively with the surgical and nursing teams

- Required Education
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Certifications And Licensure
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST) and/or TS-C (Tech in Surgery–Certified) within 1 year of hire
- Note:
Staff hired as CST before 8/1/2016 are exempt from the certification requirement but must meet competency standards - CPR certification required for staff in Women’s & Children’s areas
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required within 6 months of hire for staff in Women’s & Children’s areas
- Preferred Experience
- 1–2 years of experience as a Surgical Technician
