Speech Pathologist – School Setting >
Location: Washington Court House, OH
Job Type: Full-time, Day shift (100%)
What You’ll Do- Evaluate, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders in students.
- Create individualized treatment plans as part of an IEP to meet diverse student needs.
- Perform screenings to detect language or speech disorders.
- Educate students, teachers, aides, and families about speech disorders, including causes, disabilities, and traumatic events.
- Maintain detailed records of patient conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress.
- Report progress and current status to families, teachers, and medical professionals as appropriate.
You’re passionate about patient care, eager to grow professionally, and value teamwork. You have excellent communication and time‑management skills and a desire to make a meaningful difference in your patients’ lives.
Minimum Qualifications- Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current license as a Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficiency with computers and basic word‑processing tools.
- 1–2 years of experience providing direct patient care in a healthcare setting.
- Clinical internship or experience in patient‑facing roles during graduate training.
- Familiarity with Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) and/or Vital Stim certification.
- Strong understanding of the ASHA Code of Ethics and relevant state practice laws.
