Diesel Mechanic (Reefer & Trailer Repair) - Washington Court House, OH

Transport Refrigeration, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Mechanic (Reefer & Trailer Repair) in Washington Court House, OH. This is a full-time role with a 3-day workweek schedule:
Thursday–Saturday, 4:00 PM – 4:30 AM. Compensation ranges from $26–$40 per hour based on experience, plus a $2 per hour overnight premium.

What you’ll do

• Perform preventative maintenance on trailers, trucks, refrigeration units, and APUs
• Replace brakes, perform suspension repairs, and conduct DOT/FHWA inspections
• Diagnose electrical systems and ABS brake system issues
• Provide tire services: mounting, dismounting, balancing, and flat repairs
• Repair trailers structurally, replace rear doors, and perform washouts
• Troubleshoot APUs and provide road service calls
• Maintain a clean and organized shop and service company vehicles
• Safely operate forklifts, hoists, and other tools
• Perform additional duties as needed

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–3 years of experience in diesel, trailer, or refrigeration maintenance (DOT annual inspections & air brakes required)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Own a toolbox and possess required tools
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
• Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude
