Our client, a leader in the mechanical engineering sector, is seeking a skilled Assembly Fitter to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional who thrives in a machine shop environment and is eager to make a significant contribution!

Role Summary

As an Assembly Fitter, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and precision of machined components through:

  • In-process and final deburring, inspection, and testing.
  • Meticulous assembly of components to meet high-quality standards.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout the assembly process.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform deburring and dressing of machined components.
  • Conduct fluid gravity and pressure tests to validate functionality.
  • Inspect components against engineering drawings using precision tools.
  • Log non-conformities and maintain accurate inspection status.
  • Support compliance with quality system procedures and 5S principles.
Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a mechanical engineering manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and quality plans.
  • Experience with precision equipment assembly, particularly hydraulic and pneumatic systems, is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
