Our client, a leader in the mechanical engineering sector, is seeking a skilled Assembly Fitter to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional who thrives in a machine shop environment and is eager to make a significant contribution!
Role SummaryAs an Assembly Fitter, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and precision of machined components through:
- In-process and final deburring, inspection, and testing.
- Meticulous assembly of components to meet high-quality standards.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout the assembly process.
- Perform deburring and dressing of machined components.
- Conduct fluid gravity and pressure tests to validate functionality.
- Inspect components against engineering drawings using precision tools.
- Log non-conformities and maintain accurate inspection status.
- Support compliance with quality system procedures and 5S principles.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a mechanical engineering manufacturing setting.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and quality plans.
- Experience with precision equipment assembly, particularly hydraulic and pneumatic systems, is advantageous.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
