Pilates Instructor; Position

Overview

Pilates Instructor (Contract Position) at Mayflower Inn & Spa. Located in Washington, Connecticut. Mayflower Inn & Spa is a luxury countryside retreat with 58 acres of gardens and woodland.

The Pilates Instructor is responsible for guiding clients throughout their fitness journey by providing personalized instruction, motivation, and support. This role involves understanding each client’s individual goals, designing tailored programs, and leading safe, effective sessions that foster strength, flexibility, and overall well-being.

• Engage with clients one-on-one to understand their personal fitness goals and wellness needs
• Design customized Pilates programs and group classes to support clients and guests in achieving results
• Demonstrate proper Pilates techniques, movements, and equipment usage with clarity and precision
• Provide personalized coaching, form correction, and actionable tips to enhance performance and prevent injury
• Monitor and ensure safe, effective use of Pilates equipment and props
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming training environment, including proper care and hygiene of all equipment

• At least two years of experience as a Pilates fitness / personal trainer
• Fitness Certification required through a nationally recognized organization
• High energy personality, passionate about health & fitness and helping others achieve their goals
• Knowledge of the fundamentals of exercise science and fitness techniques
• Understanding of nutrition and diet
• Demonstrated ability to lead classes effectively
• First aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation training required
