Our roofing division, Washington Roofing, delivers professional residential and commercial roofing services, from repairs and replacements to large-scale installations.
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Roofing Estimator to join our team. This role is essential for preparing accurate bids, ensuring profitability, and supporting our continued growth in the roofing market.
Responsibilities- Conduct roof inspections to assess conditions and gather measurements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for roofing projects, including materials, labor, and subcontractor costs.
- Review project specs, blueprints, and scopes to ensure accurate pricing.
- Source materials and obtain competitive vendor quotes.
- Communicate estimates clearly to clients, explaining scope and options.
- Work with project managers and crews to ensure field execution matches the estimate.
- Track bid performance and adjust estimating strategies based on results.
- Previous experience required:
Minimum 3 years in roofing estimating (residential, commercial, or both). - Strong knowledge of roofing systems (composition, metal, flat, TPO, PVC, etc.) and installation methods.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
- Proficiency with estimating software, aerial measurement tools (e.g., Eagle View), and MS Excel.
- Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
