About the Position
The Project Executive is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing both small and large-scale commercial construction projects—from early discovery and design through development, execution, and closeout. This individual assumes full accountability for project performance while mentoring project teams and strengthening client relationships.
The Project Executive leads preconstruction efforts, drives operational excellence, ensures compliance with standards, and serves as the primary decision-maker and strategic partner for clients, subcontractors, designers, and internal teams. Candidates must bring healthcare project experience and a proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain strict adherence to safety standards across all projectsEnsure all project processes and workflows comply with company policiesNegotiate contract terms and conditions with clientsManage project progress through updated schedules and proactive oversightEnforce the project Quality Control PlanSupport project teams in resolving subcontractor and scope-related challengesOversee assignment, performance, and development of field personnelIdentify, justify, and negotiate time extensions when necessaryLead efforts to acquire new work and maintain strong client relationshipsCultivate positive relationships with the subcontractor communityEnsure timely and accurate project closeoutLead all preconstruction and RFP efforts with support from internal teamsDelegate effectively to ensure smooth project execution and team alignmentRequirements
10+ years of commercial construction experience, including work with a commercial general contractorPrior healthcare construction project experience requiredBachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Business, or related fieldExperience managing multiple projects simultaneously, including government/federal, industrial, or healthcare/hospital workStrong proficiency in sector-specific software including:Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)ProcoreAdobeBlue BeamJD EdwardsMastery of reading, interpreting, and updating construction drawingsDemonstrated ability to organize teams, tools, and timelines to meet deadlinesUnderstanding of market conditions, pricing conventions, and industry trendsProven leadership, communication, and decision-making skillsAbility to foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teamsCommitment to the company’s values, professionalism, punctuality, and continuous improvementBenefits
